What DualMode is
One laser with ablative and non-ablative settings, from lighter to stronger resurfacing.
Ablative resurfacing is for more visible correction when stronger improvement is the goal and downtime is acceptable. Settings are matched to your skin, goals and downtime tolerance. Stronger does not automatically mean better.
DualMode candidacy and risks
Skin type, sun exposure and timing come first.
Good candidates
Guests who can plan for recovery and avoid sun before and after treatment.
Tell your provider
Your skin type, pigment or melasma history, recent tanning, medications, healing history, recent procedures and skin conditions.
Sometimes no is safer
DualMode may be delayed or declined if your skin is not ready, your timing is poor, your pigment risk is too high or a different treatment would be safer.
Common effects
Redness, warmth, swelling and tightness may occur on day 0. Redness, sensitivity, dryness, darkening or early peeling may show on days 1 to 3, and peeling, flaking or roughness on days 3 to 7 or longer, depending on intensity.
What it cannot do
DualMode is not appropriate for everyone, and results vary. More comprehensive improvement may need a staged series.
Pregnancy
Laser and light treatments are postponed during pregnancy. If you are pregnant, trying to become pregnant or breastfeeding, tell us before booking.
Aftercare
Barrier repair, gentle skincare and strict sun avoidance while your skin heals.
Follow the instructions you are given for your treatment. Do not pick or scrub healing skin. Recovery discipline affects results and risk. Additional sessions may be recommended only after appropriate healing and reassessment.
