Alexa recommends the technique based on your skin type, natural brows, any prior permanent makeup, lifestyle and the healed finish you want.
Nano brows
Fine, machine-created hair strokes for soft texture and realistic-looking definition. Can support sparse or uneven brows.
Powder brows
A softly shaded, filled-in finish that can range from subtle to more defined. Often adaptable across more skin types.
Combo brows
Hair-stroke detail plus shading, for added structure and fullness when one technique alone may not give the balance you want.
Lip blushing
Customized pigment for lip tone, border definition and a soft wash of color, intended to heal naturally, not like opaque lipstick. Pigment is chosen for your natural lip tone and undertone.
Old brow tattoo or prior work
Existing pigment is assessed first. Some work may need fading or removal, and not all old work can be covered.
Not for lip volume

What a permanent makeup visit is like.
Consultation
We review your goals, health and skin history, prior permanent makeup and recent procedures. Alexa maps shape, symmetry, pigment and technique with you, and you approve the design before treatment begins.
Treatment
Pigment is placed with the chosen technique, comfort measures and established sanitation protocols. Color may look darker, brighter or more defined on day one.
Healing
Color can soften or look lighter in weeks 2 to 4 as the skin settles. The healed result is the real result.
Six-week touch-up
The touch-up at about six weeks is part of the treatment, not an extra. The first session places the base color; the touch-up fills where pigment did not hold, evens the color and refines the shape. Skipping it leaves the result unfinished, for brows and especially for lips.

What permanent makeup is
How it works, and how Florida regulates it.
Permanent makeup is semi-permanent cosmetic tattooing. Pigment is placed in the skin to support brow shape, symmetry and fullness, or lip tone and definition, designed around your features, skin and lifestyle. The goal is polished definition rather than an overdone result. Florida regulates permanent makeup as tattooing; general licensing information is available from the Florida Department of Health (opens in a new tab). At Eternal MedSpa, permanent makeup is performed by a licensed tattoo artist in a licensed establishment.
Permanent makeup candidacy and risks
Health, skin and timing come first. Some guests may need to wait.
Good candidates
Guests who want natural-looking brow definition, softer lip color or a simpler daily makeup routine, and who have realistic expectations for healing and upkeep, may be candidates.
Tell us first
Health history, medications, allergies, skin conditions, prior permanent makeup and upcoming travel or events. Recent filler, wrinkle relaxers, laser, peels, surgery or aggressive skincare may change timing, so share the treatment and date before booking.
Sometimes waiting is safer
An active rash, infection, open skin, significant irritation or uncontrolled acne near the area may mean waiting until the skin is healthy and stable. Certain health conditions, immune concerns, healing issues, bleeding concerns, keloid history or medications may also affect candidacy or timing.
Cold sores and lip blushing
Lip blushing may trigger a cold sore outbreak. Tell us about any history, and discuss prevention planning with a qualified medical provider before your appointment.
Common effects
Dryness, tightness, flaking or temporary unevenness may occur during early healing.
What it cannot do
Color fades over time and commonly needs follow-up refinement and future maintenance. No technique can guarantee exact retention, symmetry or longevity.
Pregnancy
Permanent makeup is generally postponed during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
Aftercare
Protect the area from sun, heavy sweating and swimming while it heals.

How much does permanent makeup cost?

What is the difference between nano, powder and combo brows?
Nano brows use fine, machine-created hair strokes. Powder brows create a soft, shaded finish, and combo brows combine hair-stroke detail with shading. Alexa recommends the technique after assessing your skin, natural brows, existing pigment and the healed result you want.
What is lip blushing?
Lip blushing is a form of permanent makeup that uses customized pigment to support lip tone, border definition and a soft wash of color. It creates a soft tint rather than the exact look of daily lipstick.
Why do you suggest a darker lip pigment?
Lips fade faster than brows. They move all day, they are touched, licked and wiped, and they renew their surface quickly, so lip color softens sooner. We suggest choosing a pigment a shade darker than the tone you want to live with, so the healed, settled color lands where you want it and lasts longer between touch-ups. Alexa shows you the healed shade range at your consultation before anything is placed.
Is permanent makeup actually permanent?
Permanent makeup is semi-permanent. It gradually fades, and how long it lasts varies with technique, skin type, pigment retention, sun exposure, skincare, lifestyle, aftercare and maintenance.
How long does permanent makeup take to heal?
Permanent makeup color may look darker, brighter or more defined on day one. Dryness, tightness, flaking or temporary unevenness may occur in the first week, and color can soften or look lighter in weeks 2 to 4 as the skin settles.
Will I need a touch-up after permanent makeup?
Yes. Plan on it. The six-week touch-up completes the treatment for both brows and lips: the first session sets the base color, and the touch-up fills any spots where pigment did not hold, evens the tone and refines the shape. Skipping it leaves the result lighter and less even than it should be. Because all permanent makeup fades, a maintenance touch-up is usually recommended later, sooner for lips than for brows.
Can permanent makeup cover an old brow tattoo?
Permanent makeup may be able to cover an old brow tattoo, but its color, saturation, shape, scar tissue and age must be assessed first. Correction, fading, removal or a different technique may be recommended, and not all old work can be covered.
Can I get lip blushing if I get cold sores?
Lip blushing may trigger a cold sore outbreak, so tell us about any cold sore history before treatment. Discuss prevention planning with a qualified medical provider before your appointment.
