What microneedling is
Controlled micro-injury, without heat, to support collagen and skin quality.
SkinPen microneedling is a controlled collagen induction treatment. The device creates precise microchannels in the skin, which can stimulate a healing response associated with new collagen and elastin support. It does not use laser, light or heat, so it is often a year-round, lower-downtime choice for many guests. It is not filler, a wrinkle relaxer or laser resurfacing; it is a collagen-focused skin-quality treatment.

Good candidates
Guests whose main concern is acne scar appearance, pores, texture, fine lines, early crepiness, neck quality or collagen support.
Tell us first
Recent isotretinoin use, keloid history, poor wound healing, immune concerns, cold sores, medications that affect healing or recent procedures.
Sometimes waiting is safer
Active acne flare, infection, rash, open lesions or irritated skin; recent sunburn, chemical peel, laser or aggressive exfoliation. If SkinPen is not the safest next step, we may suggest skincare, another treatment, a medical evaluation or waiting until your skin is ready.
Common effects
Redness, warmth, tightness, sensitivity and dryness are common. Skin may feel dry or slightly rough as it heals.
What it cannot do
It cannot promise scar removal, pore elimination or wrinkle correction, and it is not instant resurfacing. Results vary with skin, scar type, age, healing, skincare and sun exposure.
Pregnancy
Pregnancy or breastfeeding may require deferral depending on policy and provider guidance.
Aftercare
Protect the barrier, avoid sun and do not pick healing skin.
You get aftercare instructions based on treatment intensity and add-ons. Use only approved post-care products and avoid harsh actives until cleared. Avoid sun, which can increase irritation and pigment risk after microneedling. Do not pick, scrub or aggressively exfoliate healing skin. Series timing, skincare, SPF and maintenance help determine long-term results.
